SEO Truth or Myth

Truth or Myth?
Only reciprocal links are considered valuable in search engine optimization.

Myth! There are two types of links, non-reciprocal links (incoming) and reciprocal or trade links. By definition, trade links are mutually linked between two sites, being beneficial to both.  Search engines now consider trade links to be less reliable as a measure of usefulness and do not give them much weight.  It is incoming links that are considered to be the most crucial offsite determination of a site's popularity. Truth or Myth?
Hits and visits are different web analytics measurement tools.

Truth! A hit is any request from a web-server or from a file. A “visit” can often contain multiple hits as image and text files are downloaded from the server. Both are used to analyze user action while on a website.
